'Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein balls'
Ingredients:
- 20 Medjool dates
- 2 scoops chocolate 'pranaON' protein powder
- 2Tbs cacao powder
- 2Tbs coconut oil
- 1.5Tbs natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup finely chopped roasted peanuts (for covering balls)
Method:
Pitt the dates and blend in a food processor until they are smooth and clump together in a large ball.
Add the protein and cacao powder to the dates in the processor and mix well.
Then add in the peanut butter and coconut oil. Process all the ingredients until a mexture forms that can be rolled into balls and doesn't fall apart (add more oil if you need to).
Roll into small balls and coat with the roasted peanuts. Store in the fridge to set.
Makes approx 35 balls (depending on the size you make)
Fun Nutritional Facts
These are a great source of energy, antioxidants, fibre, monounsaturated fats and protein. It is like a complete meal in a ball. Just be mindful not to eat too many all at once.
