The Powerful Anchovy!

Now I know most of you are probably going to turn your nose up at this - But I love eating anchovies straight out of the jar!! They pack a BIG punch of salty flavour, but that is something my taste buds are very much drawn to.

Anchovies are an amazingly healthy food source with an abundant array of health benefits for your body. These include:

Now they are naturally very high in sodium - So if you are someone who suffers from high blood presure, you do need to be mindful with how much you consume.

Eating the little bones is also a fabulous source of calcium, which is ever so important especially if you aren't a big fan of dairy.

So give these little beauties a go in your next salad or on top of your homemade pizza. They are definitely something you should consider adding into your diet (if you can handle the taste), as the health benefits are definitely worth it!
