Fit-Nic @ School - Nutrition part 1
What does good nutrition mean to you?
What does it involve?
95% of how we appear on the outside and how we feel on the inside has to do with the foods we choose to nourish our body with.
However, before it is discussed what we SHOULD be eating, there are many common ‘barriers’ and ‘misconceptions’ that stop us from consuming certain foods. Some (but not all) include:
- Eating carbs makes you fat
- Eat the egg yolk is not good for you
- The Paleo Diet
- Eating white foods are bad for you (e.g. white potato, rice)
- Avocado is too fatty
- Eating fats makes you fat
- All fats are bad
- Our bodies were not designed to metabolise meat products
- The less you eat the skinnier you will become.
A great video to dispel majority of these food myths is: ‘In Search of the Perfect Human Diet’
